Anne Bartish

A native of Muskegon, Michigan, Anne Marie Bartish brings more than two decades of legal and financial expertise to her practice, along with a deeply personal commitment to advocating for people facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Anne began her career in numbers before she ever set foot in a courtroom. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Mary’s College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1995, then earned her CPA and joined Deloitte & Touche in Cincinnati, Ohio, as an accountant. That foundation in finance and analytical rigor would go on to shape the precision and discipline she brings to every case.

After three years in public accounting, Anne pursued her law degree, studying at the University of Cincinnati College of Law and the University of Texas School of Law, where she graduated with honors. During the summer between her first and second years of law school, she was selected to participate in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Honors Internship Program, an early and formative experience that broadened her perspective on federal law enforcement and the justice system. She was admitted to practice law in Ohio in 2001 and in Michigan in 2002.

Following law school, Anne served as a clerk for Federal Judge the Honorable Ronald King in San Antonio, Texas, while her husband, Mike, completed his military service at Fort Hood. That clerkship gave her an early, formative view into the federal judiciary — insight she would carry with her throughout her career.

In 2002, Anne joined the law firm of Warner Norcross & Judd as an associate in the Real Estate and Trust Department. In 2005, she transitioned to a role as a pro se law clerk for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan, where she worked closely with a federal judge to review prisoner litigation and help author numerous judicial opinions — experience that gave her a rare, firsthand understanding of the federal court system and the people who come before it.

In 2015, following the birth of her fourth child, Anne stepped away from the practice of law to be a full-time mother. But she never stopped working hard or leading — for eight years, she volunteered as a coach for Odyssey of the Mind, guiding her daughters’ teams through years of creative problem-solving competition, including multiple trips to World Finals at Iowa State and Michigan State, and a third-place world finish along the way. Anne continues to coach Odyssey of the Mind Teams in what spare time she does have.

In 2026, Anne returned to the practice of law, joining forces with her husband, Mike, to devote her skills to a new calling: defending the rights of those charged with criminal offenses. Drawing on her background in federal courts, her sharp analytical mind, and her genuine care for people, Anne now stands beside clients when they need a strong, knowledgeable advocate the most.

Anne lives by the belief that everyone deserves a fair fight — and she brings that belief to every client she represents.
